Chairman Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchant Association (PCDMA), Nasiruddin Fateh Kukda has welcomed the decision of Directorate Custom valuation of reducing import price of sulphuric acid from 1250 dollar per ton to 1160 per tone. He said that the DG Valuation Khuaja Tanvir Ahmed has reduced the import trade price after examine prevailing prices in international market.

He said that the reduction in price will help to reduce cost of soap manufacturing as well as availability of the acid. He said that annual requirement of the acid is around 100000 tons out of which 70 percent is met through local supply and 30 percent is to be imported. He also appreciated efforts of Zubair Tufail and Pervaiz Tufail of Tufail chemicals.
